Art Park of Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Art is a very interesting place to look around and wander.
In the park, there is Japanese flower park and peony park that show you beautiful flowers and the nature in each season.
The park also has some spots that you can enjoy art, such as sculptures made by Taro Okamoto and August Rodin. The park is located in the same area of Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Art, where is known as a museum of Jean-Francois Millet, and Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Literature.
In the art museum, works of the Barbizon School are exhibited. For instance, “The Sower” and “The Gleaner” of Jean-Francois Millet. Additionally, art works created by artists from Yamanshi and Japanese famous artists are in the possession of the museum. At the museum of literature, works related to Yamanashi that mainly wrote by artists born in Yamanashi are exhibited.
Literacy creation by famous writers such as Ryunosuke Akutagawa and Osamu Dazai are also displayed there.
